Before, it was the former Imperial Palace, where lived the twenty emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ruling China for 500 years. The Temple of Heaven was first constructed in 1420.

It was extended and renovated during the reigns of Ming emperor Jiajing and Qing emperor Qianlong. It was the place where the Emperors would worship the god of heaven and pray for good harvest.

The Echo Wall is the circular surrounding wall of the Celestial Warehouse. If two people stand by the wall behind the East Annex Hall and the West Annex Hall respectively and speak with their face toward north, they can hear each other’s voice clearly. Calls and responses or asks and answers constitute a wonderful conversation.

The National Stadium is located on a gentle rise in the centre of the Olympic complex. An undulating composition of high and low elevations moderates the bulk of the vessel and gives it a dramatic sweeping form. The stadiums appearance is pure structure. Facade and structure are identical. The structural elements mutually support each other and converge into a grid-like formation -- almost like a bird's nest with its interwoven twigs.

The National Aquatic Center, also known as the Water Cube, is located in Beijing Olympic Park. It is one of the Beijing Olympic Games' most symbolic buildings. The total area of the center is approximately 80,000 square meters.

After the Beijing Olympic Games, Bird’s Nest and Water Cuber become new tourism spots which are amazingly attractive to people from all over the world.

THE PLACE, located in the business center and costing 250 million RMB, is 250 meters in length and 30 meters in width. It is almost as big as a football playground. It is the largest in Asia and the second largest in the whole World.
